The outline should begin by giving the central claim (thesis) of the essay. Next, you should list, in order, the supporting claims that Dr. King makes in support of his thesis. For Dr King's 12th chapter, he focuses importantly on the topic of fear. When Dr King talks about fear itself, he first explains what it is, and how it takes shape into people’s lives differently. He also, as he usually does, gives some quotes from people and also sayings in the Bible when it comes to the topic of fear. But something I think that really stands out at the very beginning of this chapter is that he tells the audience that is ok to have fear and not be ashamed of it, but he explains the fear that causes us to take negative actions upon ourselves and others and he gives a brief set up on how to tackle the topic of fear Most of these points are told straight forward in the first paragraph along with evidence and reasoning behind what he says.
